Hi friends!
I am so excited to tell everyone that instead of going to college right away I will be going on a 9 month missions gap year called the World Race! If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a missions gap year where I will be spending 9 months in Eswatini (South Africa), Costa Rica, & Thailand serving the hands and feet of Gods people through children’s ministry, manual labor, and discipleship!

Let me introduce myself for those who don’t know me! My name is Emily Pomphrett and I live in Sudbury Massachusetts! I grew up going to Trinitarian Congregational Church In Wayland where I have loved and been loved by such amazing people. I have gotten the privilege to go to Guatemala for 3 years consistently with our youth group (4 in June!!!) Ever since my first missions trip overseas I have developed a calling for global ministry which has only increased. This year I am interning at my church for high school ministry, leading the youth band, and have been able to serve as the student representative on my churches’ missions board for three years now! All of these opportunities and mentors along the way have shaped me into the person I am today! Some things that bring me joy are my Church, family, friends, sunsets, hiking and any song by maverick city music!

I am so excited to bring alongside my friends, church, and strangers on this journey of glorifying God! I will be posting blogs throughout the nine months and the weeks of preparation to go! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!

I cannot wait to share my journey with you!

In Christ Alone, Emily
